Writer, paranoid schizophrenic and obsessive-compulsive, Richard Carlson Jr. is the man behind the novel, Karliff: The First Novel and its sequel, Karliff Returns, and the final book in the trilogy, Karliff: The Third Novel which are all for children, although teenagers and adults will also find delight in reading them.

With great writing ability, Richard has woven literary devices into the Karliff novel series which are all ideas he came up with while recovering from his paranoid schizophrenia and possibly obsessive-compulsive disorder for the most part.

Utilizing his stimulated imagination, he created a ten-year-old boy, Karliff. He also created the character's family and close friends who are all essential to the novels. How did he do it?
